Gymnocalycium mihanovichii / ‘Grafted Moon Cactus’

The Moon Cactus, which is also known as Ruby Ball Cactus, is one of the most colourful cacti available. It is a good plant for new cactus growers because it grows well indoors and thrives on neglect. The Moon Cactus is unique because it is actually two cactus grafted together. 

*Pot size 6cm. Non toxic to pets (but very spiky).*

Watering

Because it is a grafted cactus, the Moon Cactus is more susceptible to root rot than other types of cactus. For this reason, it is best to stay on the side of underwatering. Only water the Moon Cactus once a month during the summer and once every two months during the cooler months.

Lighting

Brightest spot in the house.
