The Shaker Fire Door with Obscure Glass is a product from XL Joinery, a manufacturer based in the UK. It’s part of their Oak Internal Doors range, made from sustainably sourced oak.
This door uses engineered construction techniques and is finished with an A-Grade American White Oak veneer. The door is delivered unfinished, allowing for a finish of your choosing, whether it be stain or paint.
It’s available in two sizes to allow it to fit different doorway sizes. For safety, it has a fire rating of up to 30 minutes and includes 6mm safety glass. XL Joinery stands behind the quality of their doors with a 10-year warranty.
This door requires the installation of three, 4-inch butt hinges and can be trimmed up to a maximum of 2mm on each side. The door will also require light sanding using 240g sandpaper to ensure a smooth finish after trimming. This will ensure that the door fits perfectly into the frame and opens and closes smoothly.
