Oval Covered Escutcheon – Oil Rubbed Bronze
Oval Covered Escutcheon in oil rubbed bronze. This escutcheon is a classic design for period and traditional homes. A keyhole cover for a British Standard 3 Lever and 5 Lever Lock and a co-ordinating door accessory for our oil rubbed Bronze Door Knobs and oil rubbed bronze Lever On Rose Door Handles.
Escutcheons are decorative plates for dressing keyholes on doors and the cover is a good solution for draught prevention. This oval style is a classic design and works well in older properties and new homes alike.
Please Note: This traditional oil rubbed living finish is designed to patina with time and will not remain dark. In the highest wear areas, the darker colour will gradually burnish to a lighter copper. The amount of copper highlights will depend upon the level of wear. When first unboxing your cup pulls you may also notice a pale bloom on the surface of the bronze. This is caused by oxidisation of the oil rubbed finish during storage and can easily be removed with an application of a light oil, such as WD40, and buffing with a soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or metal cleaners.
