Rhipsalis baccifera / ‘Mistletoe Cactus’
A low maintenance, hanging plant that is perfect for beginners. In the wild, rhipsalis is an epiphytic plant, which means it grows on trees. It’s found in tropical jungles in South America.
Did you know?
This plant gets the nickname ‘Mistletoe Cactus’ because of the tiny, white flowers that appear along its stems through winter into spring that are followed by small, white or pale-pink berries or because its spineless foliage looks a little like mistletoe.
Watering
Dependent on home conditions, pot size and season. Allow plant to dry out between waters. Water sparingly through the winter.
Lighting
Hang it up or place it on a shelf in a bright spot out of direct sunlight.
Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves. Collections or ‘mixed’ listings for plants will be selected dependant on availability and carefully hand-picked to ensure their quality.
