Schlumbergera x buckleyi / ‘Christmas Cactus’
The words Christmas and Cactus on the surface don’t seem to fit together, however this plant gets the nickname “Christmas Cactus” due to the fact it blooms at the beginning of the holiday season. With it’s eye-catching colouring flowers, it’s a fantastic addition to any living room and as an added bonus, the blooms signify a countdown to the Christmas season!

Watering
Regular watering is required between April to September to keep the soil moist but never soggy. To encourage flowering, two rest periods of reduced watering will be needed. In Autumn until the flower buds develop and then again after flowering.
Lighting
These plants like indirect or filtered light. Unlike other cacti, they dislike full sun or very high temperatures. During spring and summer, warmer temperatures are preferred and during flowering season, this plant may require slightly cooler temperatures.
